Patriot Defense Services acquires Titan Security
In a long-anticipated move, Patriot Defense Services (PDS) has officially acquired Titan Security, another private military company. The announcement, confirming months of speculation, was made by Clint McCoy, the head of PDS, through an official press release earlier today.
Following the acquisition, the combined entity will operate under the new name, Echelon. McCoy emphasized that the merger is not a reaction to recent actions by Russia, stating, "PDS fully supports the United States' policy towards Russia, which is based on cooperation and mutual prosperity." However, he acknowledged that PDS's, or now Echelon, increased presence near the still-under-construction dam will enhance the security of the project and, by extension, the safety of the United States. "This primarily concerns protecting the megaproject from third-country terrorists who seek to disrupt the enduring peace and cooperation between the great powers, the United States and Russia," McCoy added.
Despite McCoy's assurances, there are concerns that the merger could exacerbate existing conflicts and even spark new ones, both in the Middle East and potentially within the borders of the U.S. and Russia. Many Democrats have voiced fears that tensions between the U.S. and Russia are rising, suggesting that the era of cooperation has ended and what lies ahead is a fierce power struggle between the two hegemonic nations. The recent alignment between Russia and China further indicates that Russia might be decelerating its relationship with America.
McCoy's statements, as usual, have been criticized for their vagueness and evasiveness.

Clint McCoy was born April 10, 1978, in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Phoenix Alpha School, a private institution in his hometown[2]. After graduating in 1996, he relocated to Dallas, Texas, where he enrolled in the Southern University of Business Administration[3].
In 2001, McCoy founded Millennium Logistics, a company specializing in transportation services[4]. In early 2003, he acquired a stake in Armadillo Gear, a manufacturer of tactical equipment, and by the end of the year, he became the sole owner of the company[5]. Media reports raised suspicions of corruption, but no charges were ever filed[5][6][7].
Amid the Unrest of 2006, McCoy established a small security firm named Patriot Defense Services, which quickly expanded and by 2008 had evolved into a full-fledged private military company (PMC). According to McCoy, PDS has officially been cooperating with the U.S. authorities since 2008[6][8].
Early life, education, and career
Since 2008-2009, Patriot Defense Services began operating beyond the borders of the United States. Despite its small size, Clint McCoy's company was able to “win” competition against several other private military companies[8]. This success was primarily due to its greater initiative and direct involvement in operations, rather than merely providing consultancy services.
Since the beginning of 2021, rumors began circulating in the media about a potential collaboration and later merger between Patriot Defense Services and Titan Security. On August 14, 2021, Clint McCoy announced that Patriot Defense Services was acquiring Titan Security and would henceforth operate under the name Echelon[1].
